ELITE SOCCER ACADEMY is committed to building great athletes through our programs.
For all intents and purposes, you, as an Elite athlete represent the identity of the academy and its principles. As such, it is very important all players understand and respect the guidelines set forth to protect the best interest of everyone involved, especially you as an Elite athlete.
Please read the guidelines below that ALL Elite members are required to comply with at all times.
ALL Elite athletes are expected to conduct themselves with a high level of respect at all times.
Prior to participating in training sessions and/or games, players MUST remove ALL jewellery.
Players All academy athletes are provided a complete player kit. Each player must be in proper training gear at all times. Furthermore, all players are expected to wear the proper footwear in relation to the surface they practice in and/or play on.
Only flat non-marking shoes can be worn in school gyms. Only indoor turf shoes (Not cleats) can be worn in turf surfaces.
We promote professional athlete behaviors and responsibilities. ALL Elite players are required to carry their own gear (not your parents) at all times.
Adequate amount of water should always be available for games and training sessions.
Every player should be committed to their individual development and give it their very best every training session and game.
Opportunities to join other academy groups may occur. Such opportunity is to be embraced for development.
Protective gear such as shin pads MUST be worn at all times.
Unless otherwise indicated through the training sessions, striking of balls (especially within a large group is not permitted.
Players will keep it fun and stay healthy for themselves and their peers at all times.
Continuous tardiness and absences, whether from practice or games, affect the development of a player and overall team, as result individual playing time will be affected in the event corrective measures are not taken.
In the event a player is absent more than 1 training session in the week leading up to the game, the player will NOT be eligible to participate in competition until the athlete is back to full training mode first and foremost.
Team events have specific start times. In the event a player is late for a team event such as games, practices or any other event, he/she SHALL NOT interrupt the event in progress. The coach(es) should be able to acknowledge that player’s arrival and include him/her in the event when they see fit.
nterruption of the event is not just a distraction but also detrimental to all the other kids participating.
Players are required to utilize the team management tools available by the team, and maintain its RSVP status up-to-date at all times.
Unethical, unlawful behaviour and/or use of illegal substances will not be tolerated and result in immediate dismissal of all programs and activities.
Players understand that their actions and comments may affect others, it is important to avoid unacceptable behaviour toward others such as embarrassing, shaming, blaming, humiliating, putting them down.
The use of profanity is more often than not, offensive to others, and shall not be permitted at any time.
Players MUST show respect towards the referees. Players will not show any dissent to a referee. Players will accept responsibility for all fouls issued.
Players will positively acknowledge the referee’s efforts after a game regardless of the game’s outcome.
Players will respect to the other team’s players. Any negative comment and action towards opposing players and spectators will not be tolerated.
Players will accept victory and defeat with dignity and respect and sportsmanship at all times regardless of the game outcome.
Players will work to promote a model of a top soccer athlete: good skills, sound fundamentals, clean and fair play.
THE PLAYERS MUST:
The player must take responsibility to ensure that they have the appropriate attire, footwear & equipment always (soccer shoes and shin pads, water bottle, etc.,).
The player should arrive 15 to 20 minutes before practice and at least 30 minutes before the game unless otherwise directed by the coach.
The player must inform the coach a minimum of 48 hours in advance if they are going to be late or absent from a practice session or game. (if applicable).
The player must be always courteous and respectful towards teammates, opponents, coaching staff, referees and other league or club officials.
The player is expected to show a positive attitude and to follow directions given by the coach coaching staff, team manager and club staff.
The player must support the team. Encouragement must be always used.
The players must work together positively and constructively.
The players must be loyal to each other, team, club, and the community it represents.
The player must NOT use inappropriate verbal language or body language, spit, use racist or sexist remarks or bully others.
Bullying behaviour can be identified in many different forms and behaviours that are absolutely NOT tolerated. In the event any level of bullying behaviour is identified, the player(s) will be immediately addressed and potentially dismissed without reason.
In the event players are dismissed due to unethical behaviour, refunds and credits are not provided.
Players will be suspended if any of the above situations are brought forward, and immediate suspension will occur while an investigation takes place.
Any disagreement between player and coach will only be heard in writing to Elite Soccer Academy and must be directed an academy senior member.
Elite Soccer Academy recognizes the importance of using social media services to improve communications with our community and club members. These services, include Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and multiple Elite Soccer Academy Micro Sites. To ensure that these social media services are used in a positive matter, Elite Soccer Academy has developed guidelines that members must adhere to. (Please ensure that you are aware of these guidelines in our Social Media
Policy which can be downloaded from the Elite Soccer Academy website).
I acknowledge this Code of Conduct that has been adopted by Elite Soccer Academy and agree that if I fail to abide by these rules and guidelines, I will be subject to disciplinary action by Elite Soccer Academy that could include without progressive steps but is not limited to the following:
1. Warning.
2. Probation.
3. Suspension or removal from program
In the event, a situation arises that calls for interpretation, Elite Soccer Academy will consider the best interest of each athlete the entire team, Elite Soccer Academy and the integrity of the game. The decision of the club’s senior staff will be final.
