As an Elite athlete represent the identity of the academy and its principles and we want to make sure you are properly position to enjoy and pursue your goals as far as you can take them.
As such, in this section you will find a series of tools and resources intended to support your growth not just as an athlete, but as the great leader you will develop into.
INDIVIDUAL TRAINING BEST PRACTICES
PHYSICAL
Develop a training plan/idea that emphasizes exercises primarily focused on agility, coordination, speed and strength
Players up to 12 should use movements and/or light resistance bands in exercises.
Players 13+ may use light weights and solely for the purpose of increasing the resistance rate and improve strength
TECHNICAL
ALL technical training should incorporate a ball, and primarily focuses on the mastering of a skill or area based on repetition.
As an example, ball mastery exercises usually require at least a cone and ball
Players should focus on exercises that equally encompass both feet and/or change of direction movements.
COGNITIVE (MENTAL)
The development of the mind is extremely important to the successful growth of an athlete in a competitive based sport, and should be primarily based on self-drive and passion.
Players should track their progress and development based on freedom of expression, self-analysis and if/when possible record themselves doing the exercises.
